Mia Matthiessen is a vibrant Perth-born songstress, WAAPA graduate, and music educator. Her vocal prowess, versatility, and ‘chameleon’ characteristics have seen her perform in a wide array of bands – from the performance of sizzlin’ cabaret and sultry jazz with The Perth Cabaret Collective to larger-than-life orchestrated anthems with Perth Symphony Orchestra. Mia has had some wonderful performance opportunities in her career so far, including one of her favourite gigs to date, where she had the privilege of singing for Prince Charles at his 67th birthday celebrations. Another notable performance for Mia was singing at the opening of our incredible Optus Stadium. When she’s not performing, you’ll find Mia heading up the Music Department at Mount Pleasant College – a small RTO in Booragoon specialising in the Creative Arts. If you’d like to see more of Mia, she’s on Social Media under the handle ‘Mia Matt Music’.
