At the age of 15, I started my four-year hairdressing apprenticeship at Maurice Meade in Garden City. The House of Ernest provided me with a place to finish my apprenticeship. Upon obtaining my qualifications, I moved salons to enhance my skills and learn new techniques.
I have won a number of hairdressing accolades in my career, including first place at the Perth Hair and Makeup Awards in 2018. As part of my teaching portfolio, I also rewrote the hairdressing qualification for one of the private hairdressing colleges that I taught at.
As early as the begging of my career, I recognised that hairdressing was more than just cutting hair and that I enjoyed making people feel good about themselves.
My current professional responsibilities include working for the Firm in Applecross as a Senior Stylist and being a Barber for the Armed For Life Barber Shop Program.
