The newly developed and implemented Barber Shop Program runs as an extension of the Engagement Program. The program’s purpose and aim is to re-engage the most disengaged students and ensure they have something in their life that they are motivated to remain part of.
The program involves a highly qualified barber, teaching barbering skills for 10 weeks per term to 10 students. The goal is to provide the students the opportunity to receive positive attention for their great work. The program follows a specific training program (see below), with the end goal to set up a barber shop in the school, which can be overseen by the Armed For Life Barber Shop team.
